i think prydwen with the population will be to small for fun rvr, i mean its so big areas now with nf that will be possible to roam, and i know how emain is often atm, even that is bad from times to times.

So solve this problem and make something out of prydwen pls :)

New ppl wont be assed to make to make new chars at all if they will have to level and fix all mls, but artis ppl might be able assed to do.

So fix so we get like 2000-2500 devided nicely on eatch realm, and ppl able to get auto 50 and auto mls, for example now its to little hibbis, so even out that then open all 3 realms to be able to do this, then take this auto part away. Otherwise i think prydwen and with NF will die as a server, to big areas and to few ppl.

Would this be possible to do if server gms wants to?
Gorre action is nice, sometimes zergy, but its possible to avoid it often to if u just stay away from keeps. But nice with action, i think realms will need atleast on peek time around 150eatch realm to make it able to roam and have fun, if it will be as it is atm 100middis 70albs 20hibbis, this wont work at all.. But atleast hibbis wont be able to complain on long trips to emain now ;)

And thats nice, but gibe back high population again before its to late.

I am tired k! So my spelling and grammar might suck more then usual :)

But would be fun if something like this would be able to do, cause i think almost all ppl that atleast rvr guilds atleast middi and alb think like this.

The only way to get a higher rvr population on Prydwen, is to stop running opted groups. There're already hundreds of characters with MLs/Artis on pryd, but they don't rvr becauce of high RR gank-squads.

Gorre is fun now, but leave it open for a month or two and it'll end up dead like Camlann :p

I am predicting that Opted groups are going to be the only real roaming groups. General public groups, and soloers are just going to hop from one keep to others when ever they see flames. Never go futher then 1000clicks from a keep, and hence zerg.

I only played Gorre a little bit, but from that time i didnt really see anywhere that will be a "common" bottle neck where groups end up clashing and fighting, like milegates atm. But this could just be something i missed in my short time on the server.

There is nothing wrong with opted groups. If a team has common sense to build up, then they should reap the rewards. Its like saying Manchester Utd and Real Madrid should not be allowed to buy the best footballers in the world.

difference I see is that Manchester and Real Madrid both play in certain leagues where the farmboys dont walse in and whine about Overpowered tactics etc. Farmboys play in a totally different league where they arent forced to face Real Madrid and thus can enjoy playing football with people on their own level of skill.

I think prydwen will be okay, theres only around 1400 players on Gorre and the battles are great. I've had 1fg action 3fg action and Zerg standoff action ^^

Difference beeing that those 1400 play to RvR. Prydwen is like 70% PvE :(

Hopefully NF will bring the 70% out of hiding.
NF incourages Large scale RvR, 1FG opt groups will not function well.

I dont think that NF will kill FG rvr.

Because if you take a look at most of the people running in 1 fg RvR group, then the most of them are rr8+. And with NF a new line of RA's comes that will make high realmrank people stand even more out from the rest. To try and make it better for the "normal players" mythic made the zones so its hard to avoid keeps and made it hard to find a place to roam since fights will be shown on /realmwar.

But all in all, the new RA line makes an FG even more capable of killing a zerg, atleast thats in my opinion as an alb.

I mean, the main class i play myself my cleric, being RR10+ with it gives me the ability to get BOTH RA's such as high augdex, divine intervention 3, high lvl purge, raging powers, mcl, etc....... although a "normal player" would need RR4 to even get lvl3 in one of the "good actives".

I think it will bring more peeps to RvR, the opted groups will eventually find the spots where they can kill each other and the non opted (zerg) groups will run to the nearest flame/keep take. In the beginning there will be chaos, but give it a week or two and yoúll get your opted group areas and your zerg area's. give it 4 more weeks and the opted groups will whine that zergs also roam in the opted grp areas and the zergs will whine that the opted groups never help taking keeps.

its all in the game

It will not kill 1FG RvR, just your 1FG will encounter more zergs. (Inc more whine threads too i bet ^^)

And who says the zerg will not have RR8+ people in it ^^ or just r rr4 with ST3 :)

And why not?
Gorre might have people on it only to RvR but prydwen has a greater population. NF is a RVR patch, ToA was a PvE patch. NF will bring more people to the RvR zones and they will not have to worry about waiting in the apk for 2 hours for the right class's to log.

That's 1400 lvl 50's all in rvr tho. On pryd theres like what, 1500-1700 people on at prime time? Of which half is pve'ing etc. When emain is busy theres like 70-80 albs there, and prolly same amount of mids, so a lot less than in gorre.
I think the keeps, and bridges close to them, will prolly be zergy like the mile gate's are now, especially when people are able to port nearby.
And opted groups will still function well I believe, as it isn't all that hard to avoid a zerg, feeling lag from miles away and usually having info on where the action is. Also zergs look easily farmable to me by decent set up groups, and if not it wouldn't surprise me if even a decent rvr guild would run 2fg to farm an entire zerg.

Aye. But it requires the group to use tactics, instead of the passive effect of having the most wtfpwn gear and being fully buffed. So hooraah.

While the new RA's have alot of AoE effects/give a bigger advantage, seriously while some RvR groups are good, they stand no chance against a zerg (you assume people just stand there and do nothing?) they don't now, they will not in NF.

But by all means try ^^ Might ding me rr6 if you convince mael and BO they can kill a 5fg keeptake force with 1fg

Zergs get farmed all the time, because they're 90% afk or busy cyboring. Nothing will change that in NF ;)

The only thing to change in NF is the frontier, groups will be the same and everyone plays the same. Keep-takes are popular for 1-2months, then everyone gets bored = no more keep takes. No one runs in small groups because they get farmed by gank squads.. RvR is dead again :p

Bringing in loads of people to rvr is only a short-term solution. To make RvR popular for the long-term, everyone needs to be playing on the same level. The "foodchain"(Ganksquads > random group > zergers in epic) has to go and the playing field levelled. While a foodchain exists, rvr will suck for the majority of people and rvr is left to a minority of 5% of the server population.

Keeptakes and defending gives realm points to everyone in the zerg in NF... it will stay interesting for everyone and won't "die" in 2 months.

And a zerg can instantly teleport to a keep and head out from there... it will be much less frustrating to move around for a zerg, as well as the many towers being a great place to retreat to. If anyone wants to RvR, be it a ganksquad, zerg, or solo casual player, you check the map for action and teleport or take a boat there, a 1000000000000000000000000000000000x better opportunity than currently porting to emain and "trying" to get a group at apk/mpk with other randoms to get farmed or log.

And it works both ways: Mid Gank Group attacks Alb tower -> Albs go there -> More mids go there -> More Albs go there -> battle around the keep and its towers begins -> big battles & constant flow of players & stuffs.

At last, a sensible post in this thread.

Ask yourself why its like that.
Of the 30% you say RvR then 10% of those, at least, are high guild groups/rr groups and they kill the fun for the random groups...together with Prydwen's low population and the fact that the only sure place for RvR currently is the worn down grass of emain are the biggest reasons why RvR is more or less dead.

I think that it will change with NF and RvR will be open to all again and the ones that like to run around and roam are probably the ones that might leave if they dont adapt to the new circumstances.

NF looks like it will improve rvr for everyone judging by my impressions of playing on Gorre. Plenty of scope for 1fg vs 1fg fighting as well as areas for those who prefer keep and zerg style rvr.

Whether it will be the same on Prydwen is another matter but the game really needs something like this imo. Running round emain (only area that really offers consistent rvr atm) totally bores me now, the same old routes over and over again, its no wonder alot of people prefer to pve. Think when NF is released properly, there will be alot more people out in the frontiers which can only be a good thing.

I asked myself why and no, I don't think your conclusion apply very well.

TBH the new zones in NF are to big.. why is that no one goes to Mid or Alb frontier atm ?? Its because they can run around for ages not finding any one to kill...So you think this patch will make peopel think running around for ages by them self is fun ??? Nope it will be as said , peopel will sit on there ass and watch the war map , and when ever something shows up they will port there , or as close they can and try to add... Sure that sounds like a ball does it not.... Until you been zerged for the gazillionst time by the " port in zerg "....

Pryd population will be fine for NF when it's first released as most people will RvR. But as time goes on and people slide back to PvE (which they will for any number of reasons) it may not be so great. All that said, for me NF > OF for the most part.
