is there any way to run doac through a uni proxy server, possibly it only allows port 80 not entirely sure
have tryed socskcaping through http tunnel which didn't work, any way to fix this or connect through it another way?

Think you are screwed unless you can get the Uni admin to open up ports on the proxy and lets face it they aren't going to for an online game.

what uni are u at? im at UCL in london and i've got the same problem =( tried everything now.
