Procs Question

Basically my question is:

If I have a lfebane proc on one weapon and the same on my offhand will they stack? If so will they both stack if I also used lifebane on one of them? i.e. 3 lifebane ticks (ouch + viper very ouch)

I know for a fact that my current heat based dot proc and body based dot proc on 2 weapons do stack and that using poison on a weapon will stack with a single dot proc from one of the weapons. (never seen all 3 gone).

I dont think dots of the same type stack, so life bain proc + shade poisen wont. not 100% sure though

Nope, poisons of the same type don't stack (ie lifebane on main and off-hand won't stack).

Lifebane and a matter DoT proc do stack, however - and there was another weapon with a different dmg type DoT proc - the most you're likely to get tho is Lifebane and a matter DoT proc stacking.

Envenom DoTs : body.

Alcamhy DoT procs : matter.

there are also weapons with energy and heat dots.

so you could have 4 x 64 value ( lifebane effectiveness ) DoTs, with the possibilty of them critting, then you could viper if you had.


its possible to get 4 x DoTs ticking for 360~ each on same person, also very unlikely

If u got a WAed/Vipered crit dot of same type it´ll overwrite afaik.

I only had my weapons done recently with dot procs and when they stack with my own dot it rocks Really nasty hitting someone for 100-150 damage per tick whilst hacking away at them.

So weapon dot procs do stack with normal weapon dots, but dots of the same types cant stack... so if both weapon procs u dont get 2 x dot...

Vine Wrapped Piercer has a matter DoT.

So does that mean i can stack 3 DoTs now?

Edit : if you had a matter dot crit ticking , and another matter dot procced it would overwrite, ( or any same dot type for that matter )

I thought you were saying you couldnt viper a critted dot with WA thereofre getting 200-400 dot ticks, which ofc you can

it has a energy dot not matter.


you can stack FOUR dots

Body/matter/heat/energy

dot's of same type renew the effect but do not stack

Body - Poison
matter - Alchemy
heat - Oro's
energy - SI piercer
