Proc....

WTF is up with the proc on weapons??? I got a dot proc i've dueled a few times, most of the time my advesary got of a proc 1-3 hit. I still dont get one off after 10 hits.

Was fighting a paladin outside svasud a few weeks ago. Had a proc on my shield. I blocked the proc fired off on every block i made. He blocked my every hit, but died from the proc and my dd's.

Is the proc based on a stat or just a fluke when it goes off?

You might have a reactive proc on your weapon, hence it is not working :O

hmmm, my dot proc seems to go off every fight, and thats on top of my ns envenom dot, only had it about 2 days now, but it seems really nice, but maybe i'm just being really really lucky so far

Remember a fight last week, i got dot proc lvl 47 on my hammer, i killed a spero in Odin, my proc fired off 4 times, all was resisted. But none of my dd's where, they are usually resisted few times during a battle. Another fight i counted 20 hits no proc, while the albs weapon procced 3 times in 4 hits. Starting to thing the random number generator is pissed at me. Have had bad luck with drops and stuff since i started this game. 1 p to go from 530-540 in fletching wonder if thats normal too.

If your proc is still under warranty, take it back to the crafter as it's clearly faulty.

Surely they'll do a part exchange <smiles>

Well Fafnir.. it's like this....

The recent lunar movements have caused a shifting in the basic numbers of your luck. This tied with the tidal flows of lesser Scandinavia have caused the lesser spotted mud lark to fly in strange anti clockwise motions not conducive to your birth sign. Your birth stone is devauled and is as useful as a piece of pork at a Bahmistva (sorry to all Jewish people.. no idea how to spell it). It has also been rumoured that the chinese government is also conducting lightning experiments on Pandas.. this in itself is mother natures way of saying "Right people you are all screwed now... mess with the Pandas and you mess with me!"

Or.. it could all be summed up simply in two ways.

You're a gimp... or the traditional favorite of all.......

CRY MORE NOOB!!!!!

Also, speed of weapon effects chance to critical on paper afaik, might be the same for procs Oo

Speed of weapon has nothing to do with chance to critical, each swing the chance is calculated independantly.

What some SB have been noticing lately (may be true, maybe not) is that High Dex increases chance to Crit, WhineGN'ers seem to think this also but its never been confirmed by Mythic.

I think its something like a 10% chance per swing to proc. So the faster you swing the more chances you have to proc in a fight and therefore you appear to proc more often.

I just think its the random number generator throwing you a bad streak

It's suposed to have a base 10% chance of proccing but slower weapons are suposed to proc as much (under a given period of time) or it would be unbalanced. Noone knows for sure how it works though.

Aaaanyway... ;f~

when I had DoTproccs on the weps my ranger had they procced very seldom, as in once every 3rd fight in RVR or so, with my zerker they procced nearly every fight at least once, sometimes 2-3 times.

DoTproccs have about 5% to go off, regular have about 10%. What I am getting unsure of is whether the quality of procc matters or not. I have had exactly same procc on 2 diff lvl50s with dualwield, and I am 100% sure they went off more often on my zerker.

/shrugs

and i use mp stuffs stats caped so nothing wrong with dex etc
i even tried jambiya same no proc and i hits faster so more hits lol..

perhaps your opponents had weapon dot AND reactive dots, and that is the reason they seem to proc so much?

I have a DoT on my sabre and a reactive on my shield, its odd because my shield procs both, when i slam, and when i block - Dunno if thats meant to happen. If it is then im getting a reactive on my sabre too ;)

Quality of the Proc counts a big deal, i got MP reactive proc's on me, they proc nearly every time i get hitt at the armor part i got it on.

Never ever heard any such statement or seen quality of procs mentioned as doing anything before.

áctually i remember seeing a grab bag where it was stated that quality mattered absolutely nothing in Alchemy.

but the bag has been wrong often :) and mythic stealth nerfs/fixes a lot.

Only tests can prove it. I for one will keep all 99% and MP procs and reactives i make from now on and offer them at a bonus to those that believe in stacking the cards in their favor.
