Problems With Models

hi people.. long time no speak

after a lengthy spell away from Cs i re-installed HL and got CS1.4 with new patch etc etc

took ages to get into a server then im away.. i was on dust and everytime i looked round a corner the player model appears a second later. I'm at a huge disadvantage because of this.. really hard to get a kill.

Pc Spec : Windows XP Pro | 450 mhz P3 | 128ram | 16mb TNT1 | and a 56k Connection with settings as follows:

Rate 3600 and cl_latency -125

any suggestions?

choke ranged from 7-15 then went down to 1-2 as there was only 4-5 people on the server
