I would guess the most likely answer is that you have a corrupted file of some type, maybe part of DAOC like a config file or something. Run scandisk and do a fresh install maybe.

Other than that, 9/10 cats had problems with their video card drivers, and even if you havent changed anything thats always a possibility.

I guess my only advice is to uninstall and reinstall stuff till it works... Could do a memtest I guess in case your memory has developed a glitch.

Its a program you run from a disk at startup. It checks all your memory for faults. Search around here or google for memtest86

could that be responsible for lag(well kinda) within flash projects? like animated shorts and games

ill explain lag, stops on a frame for about 3-6 seconds(the sound continues, only the frame stops), and mouse movement within slows and is jumpy

Possibly. It sounds like something is sucking away CPU power when your playing flash, memory faults, graphics card drivers spring to mind as possible faults. Its not inconcievable that some other program is interfearing, that could be a virus, spyware, virus checker, random messaging program etc. No real expert on flash though I admit.
