Problems starting DAoC

Hi,

I have recently reinstalled my Pc with Win2000, and wanted to install DAoC. But Im having problems with the auto update when I start DAoC.

I keep recieving the same message no matter how many times I reinstall the damn thing, the message is as follows:

"This client cannot update your Dark Age of Camelot installation because a large number of key files are missing or corrupted.

Please re-install the game from your installation CD and try again."

Now I have done as it says several times and no change. Also I have installed to the default install directory.

Any ideas?

Thanks for you help.

hm... did you change anything on your system with the Win2k reinstall? Prolly a no-brainer, but did you install Servicepack 2?

no other ideas atm :/

It's already fixed, it was some sort of standard error message... Because a little later it did work (probably some problem connecting to the update server..)

There's sp3 out already, although it took me pretty long to find from M$'s update page. Sp3 fixed lots of problems for me, for what even sp2 didn't help, some concerning DAoC.

Try that.

PS. If you're using VIA (any, but especially VIA) chipsets on your motherboard, get the latest 4-in-1 drivers.
