Well I thought it might be nice for some of the newer games, also I think I was having problems with my old 4200 playing up, although in general camelot was never a problem.

Since putting in my 6600GT I've had problems with very slow graphical load times (especially the first time I log in, seems to reload the graphics several times or something, freezing then releasing then freezing again) I've found that alt-tabbing and alt-tabbing back to game would fix some of the weird glitches I got (one time I had a head and a cloak, but no body, alt tab didn't fix this one though). I thought maybe it was a problem with power to the card so I upgraded to a 550 watt PSU, but I'm still having some (although less) problems, one major one is that occaisionally I get strange "tears" in my screen where if I turn quickly the edges of trees etc leave a white blocky trail behind them for a split second.

I've tried multiple drivers to no avail, any suggestions out there?

Oh also, my PC has a tedency to reboot when I quit camelot, I'm guessing its Windows suppressing a blue screen (doh maybe I should turn that "functionality" off, will check on how to do that in a bit and try and get the error message) Doesn't happen every time, but enough to notice.

i read somewhere about some 6600gt`s overheating and causing probs.
if you search these forums there was a link to a proceedure for monitoring the temp of the 6600gt to see if heat is the prob.
i know mine gets very hot and i had to fit an exhaust fan under it to keep it reasonable.

Hhehe more people with 6600 GT terror. The main problem IS overheating, had all the symptoms mentioned above and then I found a link where you could enable temperature monintoring by modifying the bios.

Noticed that my card was heating up to 110° wich was the point when my computer would freeze or reboot.

There is really nothing you can do but return to the store and get it replaced.

HAd to wait 4 weeks for the replacement, but atleast mine is working now.

Yep, when you get blue screen in XP-SP2 it is hardware failure in 99% cases. As for overheating, get it replaced. I had serie of cards from certain manufacturer having such overheating problems (although they were not 6600GTs) - turned out to be problem of GPU power income - card hardware had gimpy power transformations and GPU was getting too high voltage (at least I was told so)... Next shipment from same manufacturer was newer card revision and works without any troubles.

Bought 6600gt together with a new power supply <500W>. Only got one of the problems mentioned above, the "tears" in the background, just mine is there permanently <it looks like lightning>.
Other problem I got is my msg box and all my infomation boxes are very unclear.

Anyone able to help or got the same problems?

If its not the temp of the 6600GT its probably the RAM. Especially if its an Athlon 64+ rig setup.

had lots of artifact errors with old fan on my club3d 6600gt cause of a very poor fan that comes with. Buying new fan solved all problems for me and havent had any prob since.

Most ppl that buy the club3d, buy it with a fan.
