Problems, problems, gfx-SI problems

A friend has a PC that's displaying some of the symptoms mentioned in other threads when running SI, crash back to desktop every 5-30 min, but none of the fixes mentioned seem to be available on the PC or simply don't work.


Lots of detail comin up:

1.2G AMD
Microstar MB with VIA Technologies Inc VT8361 Apollo KLE133 System Controller
504MB SDRAM

Running Win ME Ver 4.90.3000

Onboard graphic card was used for classic DAoC. Worked problem free.

GF4 MX440 was installed (PCI version as MB has no AGP slot believe it or not) and since crashes SI back to desktop.

Video driver version 4.13.01.3082
Video bios Version : 4.17.00.63.42

ne suggestions welcome? ..... except get him to buy new PC

Heh, try changing the OS... Millennium is notorious for its instability...

latest drivers
latest mobo drivers
turn a few things off in game also
