Problems installing SI

Had to format my pc due to some windows problems.
when i downloaded all drivers and stuff i installed normal daoc. when trying to install si, as soon as it gets to the download bard an error pop comes: I/O Error, smth like file corrupted or bad installation wizard. talked on irc bout it and a guy had to change the cdrom drive and format again to get it work. are there any other things to try before getting a new cd-drive and formatting again?

As a temperary measure while waiting for the new cd-rom drive
assuming you have an ethernet or firewire port
You could:
Find friend
Invite friend to cake and LAN party
Share friends cd-rom drive
Install over network.

Least then you know if its ya cd, rather than cd-rom ;o
