Problems Connecting To Servers?

I know its been mentioned many a time but all 20 public servers seem to be full 3/4 of the time, only time i get a game is if i go on @ 2am. Do you think its time barry should put up more servers?
I know they need b/w for more but unhappy gamers here! lol

there is one good thing about going online to game @ 2am. After uve finished playing for 4-5 hours, ur ready for work, heeh

I rarely have problems getting a game. If they are all full, go get a cup of coffee and come back, and you'll probably find a space. It is a lot busier now than 6 months ago, but I don't have a problem with that.

suppose i could do that. hehe. Usually keep refreshing my servers until i find a space though :-D. once i manage to get on, im told i dont have the map that is being played on ARGG!!

If you have the retail version, you need these maps.

If you use gamespy you can use busy redial, this keeps trying connect and when a free space appears it connects u.

Yer but by the time CS loads up and it tries to connect, some idiots nabbed the space.

What I do is connect to any empty server - this caches all the loading information. Then disconnect from that server and keep refreshing the server(s) i want. Whenever there is a space - Im straight in.

Yes sometimes then all you do is 'bind F11 retry' and then keep pressing F11 until to connects....although this does bring me back to the point I made ages ago....why doesn't HL automatically retry until it connects like q2.

on my Gamespy I have never had a problem getting on a BW server

The only problem i have had with gamespy is adding the BW master server to my list. Just never been able to do it. Always gives me a little computer symbol with a little red cross through it.

If you are using a firewall then to get the BW hl master tow ork under some circumstances u need to add its Ip as a trusted ip in your firewall.

Jsut do /dns hlmaster.barrysworld.com:27010 to get the ip.
