Hey

Can we play daoc without downloading the New Fronteers patch ?

If so I have a problem: when the download of the small patch (you need) gets to exactly 12% (and i think the file its downloading is the background for when daoc loads up) It automatically reboots itself and then comes back with a Windows serios error report and its really getting boaring now.

What's the error? You haven't filled your hard drive or something have you?

Might be worth deleting temporary files. Thats a complete guess based on no info though

Go buy a whole brand new copy of daoc from hmv for 24.99
classic +SI +TOA +NF all for 24.99! noticed it yesterday

NF installed now coz i went to HMV however im still getting this msg:

The system has recovered from a serious error.

Please tell Microsoft about this problem.

ok that's the splashscreen and I can download it fine so it's not a problem on the patcher. If you pm your email I can send you the correct version and tell you where to put it... that might help.

there was alrdy a file by that name there :/ so i copied it into all of the files that you said and told it to replace the origonal one however its still being a pain in the ass and the patcher is trying to download it...

Just wondering when you went to HMV to get a new copy did you remove you old copy first ?? IE did you do a Fresh install of the game and not just over write the verion you all ready had?

The only other thing that I can think of hand for a reason its not letting you update is the file has been locked out, have you done a Virus scan or adaware scan recently might be an Idear. also how much free HDD space do you have also might be with defraging your HDD if you have not done so in a long time this is also another problem that can cuase file lockouts / errors if the file has become truncated, also run a scandisk on the HDD and if you have the time fun a Full scan (depends on the size of your hdd you might wanna get a few hundered cups of coffee) :eek2:

defragging now and ill try an anti virsu check
