Problem with umlauts(sp?)

Does anyone else have this problem lately? Ever since i came back to the game in November, i can no longer type the å, ä and ö characters... instead on the screen they look like strange symbols. It seems other people that i pm with said characters can see them as normal.

For example:

I will see:
You tell Pelle: "Hej, vad g%r du f%rn#got?"
Pelle will see:
Levin tells you: "Hej, vad gör du förnågot?"

I only got this problem since i came back to game in November... before that i could use å ä ö just fine. Has anyone experienced the same or have a clue what might be wrong?

EDIT: The % and # above are just examples since i can't remember which the symbols were.

there's a fix for that in case you're using GhostUI. Not sure if it works with other mods.

No problems with MXN ui.

Check if your UI maker have a EUROPEAN font patch. the image containing the fonts dont have european characters.

Otherwise i suggest u switch to one of europe developed newer UI´s like MXN or my favourite Emerikol 2.6. (w europe font patch)

You can also STEAL them,while having a thiefing evil grin on your face. Do a backup of your ui/custom/fonts folder.

Steal MXN´s or any other workign UI´s font files, copy and overwrite the one in you current ui/custom/fonts directory.

Now hold your thumbs that the fonts somewhat match your UI in colour and appearance. if it looks like a cat coughing up hairballs, shutdown daoc and remove the fonts and replace it with the backup.

I use the Ghost UI... and i'm relieved to hear it has to do with that. Before i try the copying and pasting stuff, Cylian mentioned a fix? I might add that i am absolutely crap when it comes to digging around with mod files and such, so the simpler solution the better!
