Ive noticed since the patch that i am unable to buy hastners or anything else from the siege merchants at keeps or towers the window comes up when i click on the blue hookpoint but it has nothing in it,

i have seen hastners at some keeps so obviously not everybody has this problem but it would be nice to know if it is just me or if anybody else has had the same trouble

The issue with Seige Merchants and the like stems from an outdated custom UI, if you switch back to the standard game UI the issue goes away.

I can not see my lute or drum either this patch is full of bugs.

We're aware of that problem. But thanks for the report.

They're perfectly visible in the Catacombs client by the way.

This is not true and the standard UI's are naff.

1. My UI is 1.75 compliant
2. My UI doesn't even come with hookpoint_merchant_window.xml
3. I can't see the Siege goods.

I fixed this issue very quickly; it was a one line change to the hookpoint_merchant_window.xml file.

I haven't got to the bottom of why the error occurred, my guess is that the issue lies with those that are running with 1.75 versions of UI when running with version 1.73 of the client. They then upgrade the client to 1.75 and this then somehow breaks the UI, I suspect it's something to do with the way the DAoC client copies files that are missing from custom from other interface directories and it's getting muddled.

I'd hazard a guess if I deleted the contents of the custom dir, reinstalled the 1.75 UI and started the game all would be fine.

Of course only GOA customers are affected as the Mythic customers can't use interfaces from future versions....

I may be wrong....

Forget my previous post it's all rubbish.

A simple fix is to copy the hookpoint_merchant_window.xml file from ui\midgard and drop it in ui\custom. It still gets skinned correctly so don't worry about it looking odd.

As I said before my UI doesn't come with hookpoint_merchant_window.xml, if a UI has a missing file the DAoC client uses the one in ui\atlantis and this is what is breaking the ui.

I upgraded to the 1.76 version of my skin and it's still bust so I did further digging.

My ui doesn't have hookpoint_merchant_window.xml so DAoC client uses the one out of the atlantis folder.

The atlantis hookpoint_merchant_window.xml uses a template called "listbox_bg_nw_white_font" rather than checking atlantis\styles.xml for this template it looks in custom\styles.xml, the template isn't there so it breaks.

Files that require the template "listbox_bg_nw_white_font" are:
hookpoint_merchant_window.xml
merchant_window.xml
siege_window.xml

So check your UI custom folder, if the folder does NOT contain the above files take a copy from \midgard and you'll be ok.
