Problem with "R" on excali

I played b4 i came to excalibur with my mates on avalon (hib) and a little on stonehenge (alb) and the first think i noticed was that our (not only mine) R for response key was bugged - we are all german speaking players, so we have also a german ingame console etc but the language ingame is still english -
my question - any chance to avoid this bug (we already tried to assign the response key to spacebar etc but no luck)
and kits kinda annoying to type all the time /send playername

I have the same problem (french client on english server). R does not work for chat reply. SHIFT-S does not work for quick sell. SHIFT-D does not work for destroy item. And Whandall just found out today that if you are a nightshade you cannot climb keep walls using the wrong language client!

I think there is no solution at the moment except download the english client. It is probably possible to copy your camelot directory and have both at the same time, I will have to test this and see (although it is a big waste of disk space).

To change the language of the daoc client u just have to change the update.dat. Just fill in english for french/german in all 3 rows.

But i wouldnt try that now cuase the updater seem to have a problem downloading the file ihf.mpk

Every german player I speak to on Hib/Excal has this problem. With a name as long as mine it is not long before the Chatgroup Invite box comes up on the screen!
