Problem with AVI File

Hi

I mate of mine has emailed me a AVI file and I cant seem to get it working.

When I open it up in WMP it requests a CODEC? and starts to DL this from a server somewhere and then stops and the thing plays but I cant see it only hear it as it puts that funky screen on.

How can I get past this?

You obviously haven't got the correct video codec installed... the most common are DivX and XviD... I'd try downloading and installing Nimo Codec Pack that has most the common codecs bundled in one easy pack and I'm sure it'll sort it

The nemo codec pack tends to install a lot of shit though. If you have problems with other files try uninstalling it and only installing codecs as you need them.
