Problem with Account Please help.

Ok 2 days ago i logged outta DAOC to goto work. Then next day when i came back from work i tried logging into the game and it got to the log in screen then i entered the correct details and it displayed the following errors:

Window Caption = Billing Update

Text = Account Closed


So i checked the account info from www.camelot-europe.com, and it said my current subscription is None, and the next subscription was to start on the day i was having problems logging on. So i terminated the automatic renewal and tried to start again (entering CCard details etc) but everytime i try to pay from the secure server i get a error msg saying that the server is under tech problems try again later.... It has been 2 days now.. Is it my billing you reckon or have i been banned or something??

Please help me if this has happend to you.

You're not banned.
File a report via RightNow, the billing system seem to go haywire every now and then (I never had a problem though... :rolleyes: ).

Thats exactly the same problem I have. Annoying since I have finally got 2 days off college and I can't play :s

Hmm it seems you can pay with visa electron now, was that always there?

I tried my electron card just now instead of switch and it says not valid for online payments, sigh another 3 hours of waiting to try again :(

But maybe them adding this bit to payment was what is causing problems?

Oh dear Lord this is awful, I can't bare it anymore!

I finally lvl my char to 50, same day my gfx card breaks and I have to wait for a new one.

Then when I get a new one my account runs out and there are subscription problems.

What does it mean?

Answer
When a credit card payment is sent for authorization to a Financial Acquirer, this can result in 'AUTHORISED' or 'REFUSED' (or 'ERROR' when something is temporarily wrong).

Refused can mean many things among which:
- Expiry date and credit card number do not match
- There is not enough credit available
- The credit card is blocked
- The acquirer hands back a "please call for verification" instruction. Bibit will interpret this authorisationcode as REFUSED.

Visa Electron not the same as a VISA card. Though both are issued by VISA.

A Visa Electron card is typically a direct debit card whereas a VISA card is a credit card.

Electron cards don't have the numbers embossed on the card, this means that they cannot be used in the old fashioned paper swipe machines.


On the left hand side the electron card can state either of the following:

Electronic and Domestic use only, or
Electronic use only
1)these cards can only be used in the country the card was issued. This is the case for many Spanish and Portoguese cards.
2)these cards can only be used through an electronic swipe machine at a point of sale (a shop for instance)

Initially VISA never allowed Electron cards to be used on Internet or MOTO transactions. This ban has been lifted. However, not all issuing banks have implemented this in their systems yet.

Though most cards as meant in 2), can be used on the Internet, when their issuing bank hasn't updated their system these cards are likely to be refused. (acquirer response code 12 or 57). This happens more regularly in countries like Spain and Portugal.

Cards as meant in 1) can be used on the Internet (under the same provisions as cards under 2)) only if the Internet shop resides in the same country as the card was issued. This means that these type of Electron cards can not be used in the Bibit Payment Service unless issued in The Netherlands.

I just tried again, still same problem.

No email from Rightnow yet.

And I'm going to bed now, sigh, I bet they fix it at the beginning of next week when I haven't a free moment from college/work :(

Evidently Barclays haven't updated their visa electrons for internet use, but since my switch isn't working either.... sigh ;(

its been 3 days now since i havent had access to my account.. This is stupid we dish out loadsa cash on this game for them to do nothing about ... No emails here recieved here either even tho i sent 3 to them everyday :p

(Good Job i bought another copy of DAOC and can play with the free month's sub until it allows payment to main acc with solo :p)

OK this is getting ridiculous now, still now response from the GOA subscription support. No contact what so ever, not even a GOA person on the forums. Is that it then? They're just going to leave us poor sods to a different MMORG? That's nice of them, from the lack of support I have recieved so far its becoming a more likely solution every day.

Yes it isgetting stupid.. I have sent 1 email everyday to them stating that they have a problem there side and i still havent had a response either...

Its always the same there so quick to take the money from ur account but when u require something in return they just brush you off..

4 days now and counting.....

What card are we all trying to pay with? I'm trying to use Switch, I also tried Vida Electron but as Anakin explained, s'naff :p £5 they fix it at the beginning of next week, when I spend 3 days non stop college/work/sleep repeat :(

Bah, still gotta wait for them to process my last attempt from before I got the email before I can try again. Well, at least I got a response; have to accept all cookies etc and turn off XP firewall.

Well, I tried everything they said but it still didn't work... <sigh>

In my response I told GOA that it wasn't only me who had this problem. Lets see what happens next.

I just tried this time with my mum's visa card; it worked.

Hopefully you poor switch ppl will be sorted soon.
