Just WOW absolutely amazing demo the gameplay is just amazing the passing feels incredible, the animations are brilliant and you get that great feeling when you score in PES again.

Goalkeepers are tough ie they dont parry it just so the striker can get to it and score.

Just omg im shocked that its actually fucking great this year and Online Master League? Made the best mode even better.

I haven't played the Fifa 11 demo and i aint gonna bother this year PES11 has sold me.

Is this on live now? The psn demo was available last week, but for PSN + subscribers only.

Got to say been playing both pes and fifa 10 in equal measures recently, so the demos will sway my buying decision this year.

Quite like the pro demo so far, it's back to what pro used to be, or approaching it. They seem to have fixed the passing, still not the freedom of fifa passes, but close. The game feels very fluid, and the ball behaves more realistic, it's harder to do silly turns etc. Keepers have definitely improved. Graphics as always, pro is great at.

Going to try fifa tonight and see if they've raised the bar again or not.

My thoughts on the two

FIFA: In general very familiar. They are now firmly into the minor refinement cycle of this game engine. No massive, game changing changes, but those they have made are intelligent and add to the gameplay. The most noticable is that the ping pong passing is gone. You can no longer ping the ball about in triangles up and down the field. Even with the better teams it's not longer going to work unless the players are in the right position and facing the right way for a one touch pass to work. I managed some decent moves involving Messi, Iniesta and Xavi, but once the likes of Abidal got involved it wasn't so easy. If you try it the ball will be passed inaccurately or the player will stumble and mess it up completely. Blind passes up the field are also a thing of the past, more often than not balls are cut out.

The marking looks a lot tighter. The CPU AI was going with runners this time rather than ignoring them and seems to be cutting off the space better rather than being dragged towards the ball like on FIFA 10. The challenges are also more realistic this time and they have once again improved the ball physics meaning shots and crosses are often blocked.

PRO EVO: Is massively improved in my opinion. Graphically it's impressive, the player models are better than FIFA if still looking slightly claylike. The animations are also improved, apart from Zlatan Ibrahimovic who walks with Jar Jar Binks' gait. The in game graphics are good, everything is sharper than FIFA and it looks more 3d and far more real. I like the change in camera angle too, it's very noticable compared to FIFA 11 and I think it works very well. Some of the incidental animations, like players having strops about who a throw in has been given to and so on are very realistic. The gameplay is tons better than the horrendous current gen offers they have come up with previously. It feels a lot better whilst hinting at the gameplay of the original Pro Evo games. Having said that it's still unresponsive, the passing brings a noticable lag between pressing the button and it actually happening. The ball can also feel floaty at times and generally everything just seems to lack dynamism. In my opinion still short of FIFA but going the right way, so with my utter hatred of the modes on the game (Master League FFS!) I won't be getting it, but if you are a Pro Evo fan who doesn't 'get' FIFA this is the first proper Pro Evo on this gen.

Got this today and its absolutely ace love the new manual passing system you can literally slice through the defence with it and it feels alot easier to pull off just R2>A on the 360 pad.

Online Master League is where the game is at its just a really tense mode where everyone is battling for money to buy new players.

Best of all i haven't had any lag at all yet.

Been playing the Pro Evo 2011 demo a lot and I'm hooked on it; I can finally pass akin to Fifa, putting the ball where I want it. I've found myself playing some pin point passes without even needing to use the through ball button.

What does everyone else think after a good play?

Best football game i've played in a while tbh once the game clicks with you and you get used to the shooting system it's just awesome.

Best of all the online works and Online Master League beats everything.

While it's good, I still find myself preferring FIFA. Still a few too many niggles with the AI.

Reading is no good, you need to play both, extensively, and not just the demo's.

Takes more than just a couple of demo games to get used to either and besides the PES demo is totally different to the full game.

PES is just great this year i love OML people don't quit half way through a match coz they know they need the money even if they lose.

I didn't think the pes demo was different to the full game at all. But I don't play online.
