Basically I need a new printer and scanner that is capable of scanning photo's I already have and printing new copies out. I don't know a great deal about either tbh but I need something pretty decent - can anyone recommend either a decent combo or seperate's if anyone out there knows about photography n printing etc.

Basically need to reproduce a load of wedding photo's and also print out some new ones and want decent size copies as well beyond 7x5.

Price isnt too much of an issue but obviously the cheaper the better :)

Thanks in advance for any advice !

You still got 35mm negative film from the shots? - If so most new scanners have a 35mm-adapter which enables you to scan directly from the negatives - gaining higher resolution and better quality.

I like cannon's scanners - their thin series are actually very nice. About printers... I've always used Hewlett Packard's so can't give any objective view here - but I like them aswell. Pretty decent quality, edgeless photoprints, and their photosmart-series got different memorycard readers built in with a LCD-screen so that you can print out directly.

Just remember to get the right quality paper and Inks for the Printer for the best quality.

If you wanna try b4 you buy I know Epson and Cannon use to send out test prints back in the day in you phone them.

I have no film of the pictures I want copies of - just the actual photo's themselves in 6x4's - would it be possible to even blow them up to a larger size or would it lose a lot on the quality then?

Thanks for the tips as well so far - much appreciated :)

with a decent resolution scanner yeah you can prolly tripple the size b4 u will lose too much quality but it depends alot on the quality on the orignal photo.
if it was a 35mm Film then shoud be npz. but that new APS film can give some poor results at times.
