and info at

Priest (2011)

(I wonder if the CGI is good enough to put an actual expression on Maggie Q's face)

It looks fucking shit to me. Vampires + generic sci fi setting plus a load of wank actors (bar two) with a shit story line. Meh.

Nope, Priest is the one in the wild west. Difference is that Priest fights a variety of nasties in the graphic novel while this looks just like vampires to me.

And I'm sorry to say that having the people behind Legion doesn't help sell it to me. Legion also looked great from the trailer but the film was shit. I'm concerned that Priest will be more of the same.

I liked Judge Dredd though I could have done without Rob Schneider. Every once in a while I break out the DVD.

I did get the feeling of Megacity + Cursed Earth from the Priest trailer and I'm pretty sure it will just be another popcorn muncher. But hey, I like popcorn.

Ghost Rider was pap.

45 mins too long, definately. If they had cut the crap out the action would have flowed and it would have worked. Instead it smelt the joint up a bit.

No, Preacher is the Garth Ennis one with the Rev Jesse Custer and an Irish Vampire (along with Arseface and other good stuff). Supposed to be an HBO series but currently in development Hell.

Agreed. Legion was fucking awful.

Definitely has a bit of Dredd taking the Long Walk riff going on. But why oh why does it have to be vampires? Again. I am sick to death of fucking vampires and zombies. To everyone in the world thinking of writing a vampire or zombie story, pack it in you boring hacks.

vampire's do seem to be the flavor of the month. Popularity of Twilight has a lot to do with it tbh, have you seen how many god awful aimed at teen vampire angst novels there are in bookshops at the moment.

and still none of them get within a scratch of bram stoker.
