I like it :) Much better than Doom 34 or whatever it was. Lovely graphics. Think I might buy it.

Really weird in some rooms where the gravity is all messed up, never seen an ingame character be sick before :D

They still have a long way to go before the graphics are as pretty as HL2 though.

Wait a minute… is this the same Prey that 3D Realms were working on alongside Nuke Nukem Forever? With the fully destructable terrain/buildings?

That's what came to my mind when I saw the name "Prey", I'm sure it was meant to be out 6 years ago?

prey will most likely be the craziest game you ever play.
80% of the time i was like wtf is going on, the other 20% i was killing the craziest shit i ever seen.

omg at the mini planet. how the hell do people get to imagine things like that? lsd, shrooms, salvia? i have no idea. but i think the mini planet thing was the craziest part of the game

Not only the "which way is up now?" thing (combined with the current enemies quite possibly having an entirely different idea of 'up'), but the whole spirit thing is cool as well. There wasn't anything too new with it in the demo, but maybe the full game will have some interesting puzzles to do with it.

And, yeah, MP is very very confusing. It's bad enough learning a new map of any FPS Deathmatch game, let alone one with multiple ideas of 'up'.

It is indeedy - it's been in development hell ever since. There are vids floating about the web of the original engine, with similar scenes being done, so you can definitely see the tech progression in the past 5/6 years.

Ah, got the website to work finally...

The ReadMe (which doesn't seem to be included *in* the demo itself) states that minimum GPU requirement is a card with DirectX 9.0c support. An 8700 sounds like it may be old enough to not meet that requirement, and it's not listed on the explicit list of supported cards. Only one way to find out for sure....

So many great things in that game, but have to love it when the music starts playing when things kick off in the bar, couldn't stop laughing.

It actually plays ok on my 8700 at 1280x1024 high detail, altho I'm probably missing out on any visual enhancements. Looks a good game, I'll probably get it on the 360 :)

Its probe one of the first demos I have enjoyed. Looks the business and it seems to play pretty well. Although I have not done the Multiplayer yet. How does it rate against other like FEAR, Doom 3 & Quake 4 ? Whats the best map size

I enjoyed the demo a lot. Intro bit had me laughing my ass off, then all the weird up is down shit sold it for me. Simple touches mean they will be getting some of my money.
