Mine's fu><0red atm. Fortunately I'd just started to try trophy-whoring Tekken 6 so I've only lost a few. I'd have lost a shedload if I'd been playing Brutal Legend, Prince Of Persia or Street Fighter IV.

i wonder how they are going to push an update when it can't get onto the psn..... i somehow doubt this will be fixed in 24 hours as they promise, i have a funny feeling it's going to be hardware related and will require a firmware rewrite.......

Well if it is the internal clock, it'll magically fix itself at midnight GMT. Then we can get an update to prevent it happening again. :|

They already have the facility to download the update as a file to a USB stick and plug it into the console.

Chances are that Sony will tell everyone to use this method to update the machine if they can't get online properly.

I'm sure they are working on a fix. The error still exists, they need to make sure it doesn't happen again.

actually, i was thinking last night, what's really annoying with all this is the fact that yo ucan't seemingly play games when not online, which sucks for single player games. Are they now insisting that you have to have broadband connected at all times in order to play.. Rubbish.

Everything works fine now. You can play games offline.

It was a problem with the internal clock of the PS3. PSN not working was a symptom.
