Three mincers went to Goth and each one of us charmed a dragonfly. Then we waited until someone was near, and told our pets to "GO TO" the poor unfortunate passer by. Highly immature but the 3 of us were ROFL watching ppl (of all levels !) trying to kill the dragonflies in vain. When they walked away, we simply re-instructed the pets to follow em ! Later that night we ended up with a few copycats who cottoned on. Was stupid but damn funny !

So, we have out house, but no consignment merchant yet, and that porch was looking so empty.....

So I rolled an alt, thanks to kissies for finding a dye merchant and some purple dye...

if you wanna do something fun... get a few charmers ready... like 4-5-6 people (sorcs-mincers), then go up one scorcher each... buff em to the bone... bring em to caer goth, release pets.. watch how they kill everything in sight did it near that village where they are.. and i cleaned the entire town and almost killed my group.. and that was ONE buffed scorcher..

Yeah we did something like that when SI was released and everyone was rolling Reavers and Necros... Charmed lowlevel mobs, buffed them to the teeths and watched lowbies get pwned....

Also killed off Cornwall station with 3 buffed telamons, back when people actually crafted there....

And when we dressed out as guards and stood around PKB and people ran up and asked for tasks, tho we kinda gave it away when we told people to go kill white elephants :-/

And the guilds named <Stable Master> and <Healer> was a great success aswell

try the scorchers.. they are "abit" better then telamons because of their aoe-proc every time anyone hits it ;

do that in gothwaite you'll probably spend a few weeks off the game for pissing off just about everyone there and slaughtering the poor newbies just starting out.

Don't know if it counts as a practical joke but in OF I made a lvl 5 Norse runemaster which I named StorGothiVidar or something , put on some nice cloth armor and dyed it so I would look like Stor Gothi Annark and those guys, then I waited till pad was quite filled with eager mids and walked slowly down the stairs in Gothi style and walked to pad where I casted some af shield or something , I then walked back .. Funny but people were actually shocked , wtf had happened, no port etc? Was immense fun the few times I did it. Tried all kinds of combos , Jumping gothi .. runaway gothi, was funny

Had a poor bastard (don't worry won't name u) in bokkerijders
That needed 2 3/3 scrolls (think mt3/3 and som 3/3)

4 ppl made macro :

/gu scroll: [Mad Tales 3 of 3] scroll - No Sell
( at work so not right format but u get the picture)

then do the same for SoM scroll

/gu Come to Scroll raid ppl drop rate seems bugged we been at it 5 min and all got uberscrolls

then all 4 spammed both macros

best one we did we like 2 ml10 rangers make an rvr group at DL (can take some time)... 1 of the ml10 rangers is bound in innis the other DL. When the group is full mass gateway to innis. Both rangers disband regroup and mass gateway back.

I think you could also stagger the cast so you used to flick to innis then flick straight back to DL (before NF)

(always went back though and ported the peeps back or it becomes perhaps unfunneh)

Have to mention old Ultima online was the tops in pranks like that because of the PVP element. remember setting like poison boxes on the ground then putting a trail of coins or gems in to the nearest town. some dude would come skipping along happy as can be and start picking up the coins getting closer and closer to your trapped chest on the ground and then he would open it and this like DOT poison would kill him in about 10 seconds, where he runs around in sheer panic. on death u then loot him dry as he spamms 0o0o0o0o0o0.. god i miss some elements of UO. that had to be the funniest game ever invented untill they made trammel. Plus being able to disarm and nick someones weapon. Or bola someone off they rare desert orchid mountain goat and pwn it after they spent 10 hours training it, or spamming shut door on peeps that pvp'd in the housing areas while all your mates pop from stealth and insta pwn it. Or camping like a tower that was set to collapse, it was like major Xmas if that ever happened to you, imagine someones house in daoc collapsing and you get all their gear...

The list of shit you could do to people in UO was endless. a really really great game that pioneered what an MMRPG should be all about. Tbh daoc compared to UO is very blanned, but daoc is a lot more serious and well polished and still great game.
