powerlevelling alts + friends

Why do all the good spots in Barrows and the tangler spots in Lyonesse attract lone lvl 50s who are powerlevelling their alt or their friends?

Come on guys, leave some space for the non-50s! The realm will be a better place for it.

A certain member of my guild was cursing not long ago, about groups who do tanglers, but can't handle the amount that come at them and he ended up dying a couple of times.

Its getting increasingly annoying, dont have a problem with powerlevelling in general but when its taking over all the XP spots for people doing it the hard way its getting a bit much.

Its rare I get to lyone to help people levelling, but when I do, if a "normal" xp group ask for the spot Im using, I happily move on.
If a powerleveller comes, I wont move but Im happy to for "real" xp'ers

Dont think bots will be history. Yes the buffs will give less on lowerlvls, but some buffs are better than no buffs. And the healing helps with the downtime.

And is that not in patch 1.56-1.57?

Well...

Powerlvling is lame anyways ...
And produces weak players in the end because the owner of this char never got used to it .
Could probably be the reason why so many tang groups get a wipeout ;-)

Second in general the lvl 50 isn't played by the player once created him , mostly account sharing (can't remember this is allowed anyways but not the topic)
Is it any excuse that you play a shared account when you don't even know how to respect camped spots ?

Third , what victim are they powerlvling ?
Mostly an unimportant second or third char of a friend (mostly themselves because of account sharing)
Does the realm benefit from such things ?
Well you can only play one vl 50 at one time so ... nope
Would it help the realm when there would be more lvl 50 ppl ?
Well take a guess ...
I would be 48 now not 46 when the best spots wouldn't have been camped ...
And i only saw one ! player camping the spot because he needs the xp besides me . Hail to this one

Powerleveling accomplishes 3 things for me...

1. Xp for my alt (of course)
2. Tailoring gains in my downtime (being a sorc, soloing tanglers i have quite a bit of downtime after pulling 150-20 mobs at a time.. takes nearly my whole power bar to kill all)
3. CASH (no i dont leave bags on the ground at tanglers like so many other groups to decay, i loot and make regular sell runs).



In the past week ive made about 12p, gained 240 bubbles on my alt, and gained 40+ in tailoring... I cant think of a better way to spend my time. Yeha true most ppl out there dont utilize the tanglers to the full potential (ie the uber cash they drop), not even the regular xp groups. AND yes my alt gets better xp in a regular xp group than with just me and her in group doing tanglers. But so hard to find groups, especially at the time i play (i dont play her during peak hours, mostly in the middle of the nite).

Anyways, I try not to pl in prime time, and usually im one of only two groups out there. But soimetimes my psychotic nite sessions spill over into the daytime.... But yeah in the middle of the nite take a trip to Lyon and look at all the powerlevelers, or money farmers out there... Still the most entertaining tangler group ive seen is the 2 level 50 armsmen doing tanglers pulls, and surviving easily.. who says you need cc?

Yeah i hate people that pl during primetime, i've pl'd a few friends in spindel, let them sit under the entrance and they get xp from almost every where i go. But if a spot is camped i leave. And good groups are hard to find. Was xp'n in Varulv with my warrior solo, and got an invite from a group of 7. Checked the group page only tanks and hybrids no cc, buffs or heals. So i told them this is not gonna work and quit the group. They pulled and got wiped first pull, came back 15 min later did the same thing, got rezz from a buffbot. Waited for rezz sick to go away and died when they pulled again. Yes 2 purps is fine in a good tank group but when they are 3-4 add you die fast without a heals and cc.

But i'm getting a second comp and will buy a new account, found it at a 20% discout. Then make a buffbot.
