Power regen and End regen

Here is another reason why casters is having a hard time in rvr:

A lvl 50 tank with the best bard end song has infinite end and he dosn't need to put points in any ra's for this.

A lvl 50 caster with the best mentalist mana regen , dont have infinite power, even if he put loads of points in ra's for more power like Ethereal Bond, Aug Acuity, Serenity ( mana regen is caped at 6, so its just one point, 2 points if its a bard best power regen which is most usual that a grp have)

A caster without power is a glowing meat-stick with a "please kill me sign" (the staff)

So either make all realms end regen less effective or make all realms power regen more powerful.

- there is no cap for mana regen... u can have serenity 5 and mr 5 running...

- with resist rates as they are atm. and purge for free for all fighter classes... a caster is fresh meat even with a full mana pool
(well, maybe he got a chance with MoC up)

- lower the effect of end regen... would be my choise, as u dont really want to have casters do endless nuking (hmmm... sounds tempting...)

Mana pots, crystals, MCL and RP conveniently forgotten ?

With MR5 at least most healing classes can cast their cheapest heal spell practically forever.
I doubt that tanks were able to sprint and e.g. slam forever either, no matter what the lvl of endregen is...

You realise that because hib is the only realm to run around in rvr without power regen 99% of the time (unless they have a mentalist knocking about) so your proposal would only boost mid + alb, who coincidently have power regen all of the time. Only time a bard whips his flute out in rvr is to lessen downtime during rest between fights t.t

sprint cancels out regen more or less

but yes, I can dfrost4tehwin more or less constantly with end5

making end regen less effective would help hib the most since hib has the worst form of it

boosting power regen would help hib the least, agreed

Mana pots, crystals, MCL and RP are power heals , They dont increase the power regen. And tanks can sprint around and slam without losing end with endregen 5.



But stormriderx you have an point there.

I have to agree with Ekg, the difference betwen power-regen 5 and end-regen 5 is sickening.

Not that it's likely to change.

Time for a whine to GOA then I must be bugged like hell as I really can't sprint and slam in rvr without loosing end. 2 slams brings me to 30% end even with endsong on and forget about the sprinting part with it. IMO rvr more with your hero Ekg as endsong aint that great!

My hero is only lvl 24 =), but i have been playing mid tank classes in rvr ( thane, warrior, zerk, savage )

Thats essentially the issue right there - Originally Hibs had the only end regen in the game, so to bring balance, hib styles cost much more. Now all realms have it, but alb and mid haven't had their style costs increased, nor have hib had their style costs reduced.

A hib tank with end regen is almost the same as another realms tanks without, when in combat and styling that is (ie they can both get off the same number of styles more or less), so we not only have the worst end regen, we have end penalties to styles as well

We'll see if the style review changes this.

fact is that if they made a caster never lose mana with mana 5, whats to stop hibs from focus pulling non stop no rest whatso ever on high purps all the time.

Also keep in mind in hib (not sure aobut others) you can get MR5 from person not in group, but you can get end without being in a bards group.

i agree thou, need to change hib styles and nerf end reg a lil bit just so mids cant perma sprint and style all the time.

and I think casters should be able to sprint faster then tanks. Just to help their survivability. not whole not just a little
