You can't buy it in any large quantity but you can probably buy small amounts off the internet somewhere. Don't be surprised if SIS come knocking!

Apparently you can get fairly large bags of something called stump remover at garden centres but tbh the thought of going to one fo those places makes me turn all wrinkly and liver spotted.

If you own/are near an active stable, there will be crystalised salt peter under the floorboards. Back in the day, you had to have a royal warrant to scrape it off because it was so useful for making gunpowder.
