Will Game put BF custom maps on the ftp in the future? And if so will anyone be trying them?

dunno, guess the answer to both questions is it depends on how good they are...

AGREED ! However, back in the real world...
If you had some custom maps put on a server perhaps a custom map pack would be a good idea so everyone (I use that term advisidly) had the same maps.
I love new maps myself, but the problem has always been getting people to get them.

Depends what mode the server is running in - pure, non-pure, slightly-pure.

Pure you cant have anything custom in your BF, else it wont work (including custom maps)

Non-pure - you can have custom everything, maps, skins, models, hacks etc ;)

Slightly-pure - does a CRC check on the the clients files to make sure they match with the .con file that the server has. This takes a bit of work from the server admin to generate the crc .con file, and will have to be updated each time a new map or whatever is added.

And on that note, would it be possible to put in the server title what mode it's running in? As there isnt actually a filter that can be added to ASE (or non that I know of) to actually display what type of server it is.

You'll have to show me about that CRC shit, I know how to set the modes, but I only got mods running in non-pure. Hmm hmm. Can't go racing round when someones going to be botting me.
