Posting a piccie in a thread

OK, I don't have any webspace, and I wanna put a piccie into a thread, how do i do it?

Maybe this should be in technical??

Not much help.

I am not sure if its possible I have tried to cut and paste pics into the text box but that does not work. If the pics are already on the web then posting the url will work or using the IMG box will do it, but I am sure you already know this.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but if you find out let me know too please :D .

If you don't have any webspace and it's your own image, then maybe you can attach an image from you HDD to here...
Not sure if it works here mind, as I've never tried it.

But look at the bottom of the screen when you create a new post...see the attach button...
Note the file size limitation tho and the file type limitation.

The point is Dansk....

I have no-where to host the image.. If i did, I could do it...and i wouldn't have asked...

Another trick I use is you can create a Geocities account which gives you webspace.
However, geocities will not allow direct image linking with pics.
But there's a workaround..
You can upload you pic to your Geocities webspace and then rename the file extension to a txt file type.
for example ...rename pic.jpg to pic.txt

then you link the renamed file in a forum, Internet explorer will correctly interpret it as a pic tho and it will display anyway...

Why don't you read my reply again...I was offering an alternative to host the image somewhere...
I.E. attaching an image..
Have a closer look at your entering a post screen.


OR alternatively..open a geocities account as I suggested..

There's no virus in that gif pic...
It's just a gif...you can't have a virus in a gif..

OK, what makes you think there's a virus?
What software are you using?
Since I'm using office scan, which is running all the time and is updated multiple times daily, it's highly unlikely there's a virus on my PC.

And since it's and image, there can't be a virus on it anyway.

Well, there's always the geocities solution I offered, it's real easy and works for me.

No need to give Dansk any sexual favors... hehe:D

Aaahhh., I get it...I set in my profile options to show image links as url instead...It's something I do by default so I don't have to see images all the time cluttering up my screeen.

Well... I assumed you were trying to hotlink to your little .gif, hit the link button instead of the image button and were being overly sarcastic with poor animul ;)
