You know, DMW in the main is just being funny. DaoC sterotyping is just a joke, look at the posts we made in the DAOC forums one night, both myself and DMW had light digs and they daoc users joined in insulting themselves. They saw it as a bit off light fun, why cant you?

The Dark Age of Camelot forums actually have a lot of people with a great deal of intelligence and creativity as the new 'Creative' section will prove. Add to the fact many sensible posts have been made by several posters in the past and intelligent people there often frequent there (including Damini who I admit is almost proving to be as intelligent as myself if not for her being female!) *OMG SEXISM BAN!!!11* :D

*the above line was a light hearted and sexist break from the current discussion*

It's a shame that rules cannot be added to posts so that things like..
IF <post = more than 30 characters THEN postcount = postcount +1 else postcount = postcount> or something along those lines. To say that shit like single lines or pointless smileys don't count toward your postcount. Tis kind of crap but might do something good. I'm not sure this would make much sense but I'll check it tomorrow, but Diva was open for an extra hour tonight because of the clocks changing and they even kept the bars open so I'm a tad inebriated (and if I spelt that right then I'm awarding myself a medal godammit).

Frankly that's a waste of time. Everyones postcount is actually still on there profiles anyway & by once again hacking parts out of vB the morons who can't resist post after post after post win. I think it'd be much better to crank up the "time between posts" on the forum settings.

Oh & Xtro v2 smells, v2 SP1 is overdue !:eek:

I still don't understand how you can classify someone because they play a certain game.

It's not as if, the moment you start playing daoc, your IQ drops to 3 and you begin tlkin lik dis m8 kk while spamming like a spicy meat obssessed blue whale.

I think it's humorous to see how so many people seem to so willingly jump at the opportunity of being insulted. It almost seems like they're expecting it and then acting all shocked like 'How dare you say such a thing'

remark was tongue in cheek, it was a statement aiming to poke a bit of fun, nothing more. Because I actually do play DAOC and do post in the forums. The forums there are full of intelligence and wit, but at the same time (and to a larger scale than any other forum) theres a minority ruining it for the majority...true also in-game. Just look for threads insulting spanish players, or a certain guild or whatever.

Unfortunately these few 'troublemakers' can mean that everyone gets tarred by the same brush - not often, but sometimes. So maybe it's up to the community itself to try and solve this problem, maybe hold a poll within those forums asking if the spam is too much, see what they think.
