Post Malice/Battler - Solo Paladin Template

Given the forthcoming Malice/Battler nerf, I've been trying to work out what to do. Because Paladin WS and damage is modest at best, I've always appreciated Malice in it's current form. I wanted to swap in something that'd give me comparable damage in the future, but having been unable to produce a template that I was entirely happy with using Belt of the Sun and the summoned Sun Sword, I've opted instead for a LGW template.

The positive aspects of this template are 101 Str and Dex for best possible offence and defence, decent resists (I decided to cap Spirit as many now seem to opt for Spirit LGWs), and finally a full 50 AF which really ought to help. I've also got the artifacts in there I deem crucial for a solo Paladin; SoM, MS and Battler in 2H slot for the charge (weakened though it is). Finally, assuming I can find two unused MP Spirit & Matter LGWs on CMs (or have them made), I can SC them the same, giving me the flexibility of being able to swap damage types dependant upon opponents resists (most people seem to gimp one or the other).

The negative aspects are lower Hits then I'd of liked ideally, and the ToA melee bonuses are low as well, mainly as a result of the exclusion of Malice.

As usual, I'd be grateful for any constructive opinions.

winged helm would be nice in your template, other than that looks pretty solid.

Yeah but those mists might trigger omni procs, not good!

Paladin RR5 doesn't affect the Paladin though, for some utterly retarded reason :(

have you tested this? as the lifetap is a spell and the reactives are caused by mele hits.

Personally i'd rather have higher Con > Dex with CL10 hitting euro soon ^^ lots of lubely hp then and you can still easily get decent dex (80-85) with 101 con.... which is fine imo especially on a pally

The damage with Malice will be the same as before.
Even after the proc is nerfed, it will still be one of the best procs in the game. It just wont be as OPed as it is now. ;)

What about the champ weapon? With the 5 str/dex cap, you can find some rings with better utility instead. You'd only get 25 str/dex cap, but that's still good.
The 5% extra melee resists are nice. So is the 10% debuff proc.
