Just a rough guide to possible drops in base console prices, ready for Xmas:

Xbox (With Halo) - £99
PS2 - £129
GC - £79

Other basic packages:

PS2 + Eyetoy + Groove - £169
Xbox + 2 games - £129
Xbox + Xbox Live + 1 Game - £149
GC + Mario Kart Double Dash - £129

Some rumours about Microsofts future plans for the Xbox. If it turns out to be correct then a £99 Xbox with Halo sounds about right for christmas

It seems that Microsoft plans to take a hefty axe to the console's retail tag in the UK once again, whittling it down to a shockingly cheap £99.99. No precise date for this price cut is given, but speculation is that we'll see it happen in October.

I use the site price-tracker to keep tabs on price changes at all the main UK retailers including GAME. they even send you an email when prices are cut

Halo is out on PC. I can see no godly reason why in the hell you'd want to buy a ShitBox to play it on.

Unless your PC is worse than aforementioned heap of hardware VD.
