Hi, well i have bought 1.5GB of DDR PC3700 non-parity RAM, and my computer won't run 2 clients. I get the 'you must be using 512mb of ram' etc message. I got someone from the comp shop to make sure my ram was ok and everything and it is, and it still says i don't have 512mb of ram. I don't get any lag with 1 client. I just need to run a second. Does anyone know how to bypass the security test that checks for the ram, i tried using things like daocwin, which shouldn't be needed, but they are all out of date, none for 1.60 so i can't run 2 clients, although i could suppost about 6 !

If anyone knows can they let me know via PM or post.

you might want to check if your OS actually is able to use 512 mb ram (not sure if any os has probs with 512 but have heard that the earlier windows has a max ram they can use). Other than that I wouldnt know what you are doing wrong. BTw you might want to change the topic a little to include that you actually do have 512 mb ram :p.

edit: oops forgot to read original :p. If you dont have Shrouded Isle expansion, you cant run 2 accounts :(.

if you using w98 or less there should be a problem but as i dont think many ppl (alteast not whit 1gb+ meg ram)is stilll using that crap your problem must be something else.
my brother can play 2daocs fine whit 768meg ram.

updating your motherboards bios might help tho.

think me uses the same kernel thingy as 98/95....
upgrade to xp or w2k and i think it should work as the older os's dont have any good support for more the 128meg ram.
