Possible to Change Daoc Music without autopatching again?

basicly ive always wanted to change the camelot music, area battles, the lot. but when attempting the files just repatch when loading camelot again as i expected. is there a way to turn off auto patch ?

I know GoA/Mythic dont like ppl to change game system files and dont approve of it at all, but i know it must be doable as you can change weapon style animations. Not into moding too much but u can always try http://www.daocmods.com/pn/ im sure some ppl into it will post on these forms a some point!
