Its a simple fact of customer service. Kick up enough shit and something will get done. Especially in cases like this where it doesn't actually cost them anything to replace the item. What costs them is the CSR spending time dealing with you.


If you start being rude or abusive they can ignore or ban you but if you stay polite and keep pestering, they will eventually give in simply to stop you wasting their time. It might not be items but they can always give out a few free days etc.
