Positional styles

A) What category of positional styles you find harder to use/succeed in fights (not zerg situations).

1) Frontal styles.
2) Side styles.
3) Back styles.

B) On what classes you can perform positional styles easyer and what style is that? (ex. Dual Shadows on casters)

Frontal styles are the easiest to use especially dual shadows in pve or rvr, side and back styles very handy in pve if you have a main tank drawing agro, but in rvr a different matter all together useless really in 1 to 1 situations, I personally use dual shadows in most situations, and back slash when doing pve with a main tank.

front positional imho

havoc with plague as backup style

side ones are pretty hard to get off, back ones are handy, but not enough spots on my quickbar, being a thane.

In PvE they are great to use, if there's two of you. I often set up two reavers on a mob, fighting at right angles. One has the agro, the other indigosnakes. when the agro switches, the first can indigosnake instead. Good healing and damage.

Back positionals are BY FAR the easyest in rvr. all you have to do is /stick a moving target. On top of that casters and healers will always try to run when you attack them, you get behind them automatically. The only time I attack tanks is when they're attacking someone else, usually they're moving, same story.

Side positional = on stationary targets only (mezzed ones)

Front positional = on stationary targets or targets that are engaging you.

Back positional = on everything mezzed or moving, only thing it's nearly impossible to get off on is strafing people.

RvR/PvE doesn't matter.

Use this trick:

There is a buffering system per combat round on your style selection....

So.. for slashers:

hit a positional style (backslash, side slice), followed by amythest. Gives you more time to think about your position, and if you don't get it, amythest will still go off.

Same applies for getting ripostes off - riposte + amythest, if you block, riposte goes off, slap the befuddle key, and bingo. Chain style successful.

This works rather well, and one of the resaons why the style buffer thing was put in, to help get off positional styles and cush in RvR situations.

I have to be good a getting postionals off beens tho all my good damage and +hit styles are postional based. I dont find many probs gettin any styles of in RvR other than when ppl stun/mez strafe!. I hit at almost capped speed 1.5s prolly alot harder for slower weapons/swing speed.

Have to agree back positionals are not hard at all to pull off, backstyle backuped by anytime in chaotic zerg RvR its like 50% back 50% anytime that lands. [Edit] Without actually trying to position yourself [/Edit]

back positionals are actualy the easiest when you hit the target you should (eg. not hitting tanks but casters/support that usually run away or tanks that hit your support classes ;p)
front are easy when you attack tanks that attack you. tho imo it is usually stupid thing to do in fg vs fg fights

side are nice when you support another tank (hitting the same target) and of course on mezzed/stunned targets when the style is worth it

back styles being kinda easier to use give an atvantage to LW users (anni rocks :p ) and zerkers (snowsquall / icy brilliance hurts! )

imho fyi etc.

Rear positionals are extremely easy to get off, /stick.

Frontals are pretty easy too.

Side positionals are very difficult, the game seems to have a smaller side arc on a model than frontal/rear, and it's difficult to get one off on a moving target anyway :(
