I have to go down to Portsmouth in May for a few days. Now iirc callous lives there and a few other regs are in that sort of area (remember I'm a northern twat so I probably am including London to Penzance as "that sort of area").

Can anyone recommend:

a) a decent hotel to stay?

b) Decent pubs (possibly a club?)? Remember that me and the missus have tats and piercings and whilst I quite like giving some townie prick a good shoeing I'd rather stay away from the Kevin and Sharon army.

c) touristy type stuff to do?

There was a pub from Portsmouth on Britain's Toughest Pubs on Sky One recently. It was inhabited by members of the 6:57 crew, they'd love you in there X!

Anyway, the bars in Portsmouth were mainly full of students when I went there. Nice strip of trendy bars and the usual chain pubs/bars.
