Help Portable 'power station' ???

So - my lad's laptop battery doesn't last through a whole day of his presenting and apparently in one location he has to visit has no power outlets in the room (yes, like wtf?). One possible solution would be something along the lines of this ... random pic of the kind of think from Amazon, not at all checked as yet:

Does anyone have experience of this kind of device and have advice or tips and recommendations?

No idea, but two things strike me about that behemoth:

1) It must weigh a tonne!

2) I wouldn't like to see the size of the lithium fire if you drop the fekker

Surely a couple of regular power packs would be sufficient? Much cheaper and lighter.
