Well it's German technology, what do you expect? =) Porsche is an awesome car brand and let's face it, a lot of high-tech comes from Germany. Lamborghiny belongs to AUDI, the Bugatti Veyron uses VW technology (see: YouTube - Bugatti Veyron vs. Yamaha R1 RACING DOWN MOTERWAY
[youtubevid]WShY1ObPvhQ[/youtubevid] for a little showoff :p ) and McLaren works with Mercedes/BMW technology.

Personally, if I ever bought a car like this I'd do something that is considered rather "uncool" when it comes to racing, but I'd definately buy a Porsche Targa, because it just feels better when the sun comes out =)

Really a shame that a lot of countries have those speed limits, as they absolutely spoil the fun :(

I gotta say I'm a little jealous...mother of a friend wanted a new car, cause she didn't like her BMW anymore, so she went and bought ... a Porsche. I soooo wanna drive that car now ^^

And just to add...if I had more time and a little more money, I think I'd buy a cheap old 944 to teach myself the basics of car-mechanics and give that "old guy" a little boost with new things ^^

tbh the Porsche cayman has the potential to be ALOT better/faster than the 911 it's just that the engineers won't allow that to happen due to the heritage of the 911.

997 man, not 977 :D

Gotta love a Porsche though, it's the cheap option for a Lamborghini.

There is no such thing as a cheap german car. Their repairparts are priced in the silly range and they have a good tendency to break all the fucking time. I think my father went through 4 different cars in 5 years before giving up german cars altogether.

Most of the high tech stuff comes from racing cars, in particular F1 car developement. Carbon Fibre Brakes, On-the fly tuning, Tiptronic gearboxes, aerodynamics for spoilers etc the list could go on for ages. Most F1 developement is carried out in UK and Italy. Only more recently with Mercedes in Germany. Where are a majority of F1 cars built? UK not Germany/Italy.

Veyron was a special case with VW Engineering definitely involved and boy did they push the envelop especially regards the cooling, chasis engineering and aerodynamics. An amazing machine and probably wont be repeated for quite a while. Each car sold costs VW around 300,000 Euros.

Have driven a 911 GT3 RS.
Not as fast in a straight line as the GT2 but it cornered like a train on rails..... up to a point.
When the back end does eventually step out its with little to no warning. Unless you are right on top of it your going backwards into a ditch. Suppose its the pendulum effect from the engines position.
Clutch was as hard as a whores heart too.
Also .... I like my cars to have a little bit more refinement inside than just 2 bucket seats, a roll cage and more worringly a fire extinguisher.

The fact that I hate work-shy benefit scrounging illegal immigrant bastards, left-wing politically correct Guardian reading salad munching its-nothing-to-do-with-me-even-though-I-voted-Labour gobshites, traffic wardens, students with curly hair, Ken Livingstone, and jobs-worth council official pricks who want to ban St Georges Day - has nothing to do with the fact that I love the Bugatti Veyron.

What if a Spaniard who`d just moved his entire family onto your street and who`d also stole all your families cleaning and factory jobs offered you a free Veyron aslong as you gave up your rights to celebrating St Georges day . Would you take it? :p

Please tell me how people working in German factories will "deprive" English workers in English factories?

You do realise that foreign car companies have factories in England which employ English workers? .........

A understood the sarcasm when I read it, I am just stating facts.

Liloe is corrct but seeing as u ask...

x2 factories... 1 in Germany 1 in England. Lamp and his St George Rule Brittainia brigade buy all their cars from Germans causing a massive decrease in demand for English factory product.... less workers needed in England more in Germany?

Anyway i was being sarcastic:)

Eh ok...so you spot the sarcasm, give me a negative rep and say that it was a rude comment?

Seriously...a sarcastic comment is not really meant to be answered by "stating facts"

..and to be exact...those people all work in Chinese factories anyways :p *
