I think polls should have a 2 day default timeout for voting, so that the oldest polls wont be bumped one year later. An example is in the daoc forums, people excessively bumping poll threads.
Thanks,

when you make a poll there is a timeout option that you can apply to it. something along the lines of "close poll X days after today". if that is not applied to a poll then it stays open forever.

yus i know :) but most people dont use it or dont read it. is there a hack which could be implemented to automatically tick the box, or set a timeout of a certain period?

i think there should be a max limit too, maybe two weeks then it gets closed, so annoying when some random poll pops up after two years

I disagree. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a GOOD poll being bumped =D
