Well, after patching resists will affect poisons. So anyone got experiences from US how dramatically (or not) those changes are ?

Let's say someone got 26% Body resist,
is it 26% less damage per tick on DoTs then ?
is the enerevating poison 26% less effective ?
Disease duration shortend ?

Will it be worth to have high envenom, or is a higher WeaponSpecc more useful ?

Interesting - didnt realise poisons werent affected by body resistance (explains a lot) - in my recent stint in the BG I had matter resist of 17 - I found I often got DOT'ed by Albs (Matter based I think) that would pulse away saying 'you are hit for 0 damage' until they ran out - I got the impression that it was reducing the damage by about twice the resistance value - could be wrong tho - I'd expect DOT poisons to be similarly effected.

next patch is resist for poison, not yet.
maybe those 0 damage was from lowlvl poison?

Sorry - it was clear to me but when I re-read it :(

The DOT's were sorcerer/cabalist whatever DOT spells that are (I think ) Matter based - my point was that I thought you would get similar results v poisons with good body resist in next patch.

Poison resistance is in 1.53. All poisons are body dmg type.

I'm not sure about this, but I think resistance will allow you to resist the poison all together, not lower the damage/duration

so when you are first attacked by an assassin you can get the msg "you resist the effect" in which case you'll get not poison at all, if you don't resist you'll get the full effect

but as I said, not sure

no Mikal, resisting a spell/effect is nothing to do with your resist%, its only level based and is all or nothing.
