Rant Pointless Bugs?

So I understand that maybe flies provide food for spiders and venus fly traps but other than that what is the fucking point of them? Tics, what is the point of them which other species do they provide food for? Wasps, why, if there is a god why would he provide wasps to mankind, is it to add an extra dimention of terror to Alton Towers, the avoid-the-bin-of-terror ride?

I am sick of pointless bugs, petty things, bugs and things that provide no obvious reason for beng here.

tbh things like ticks, leeches, mosquito's and every single parasite disgust me. once, while mountainbiking I stopped for a wizz against a tree and looked down to see a large tick walking up my boot. the way it moved towards my flesh was so...eager that it almost made me vomit :-/

Flies are carrion eaters, they break down decomposing material faster. Gross but necessary. Ticks are nasty parasites, but the protein (e.g. blood) they steal from higher animals makes them a tasty snack for birds etc. that they couldn't access directly. Same with mosquitoes. Having said that, if we came up with a way to wipe mosquitoes from the face of the planet tomorrow, I'd say let's take our chances with the food chain.
