can anyone tell me anything new about it? i tell u whats the same if u like
i still get 150 -250 ping with isdn on busy servers.my fps fixed at 85 still goes down to 70-odd when i got more than 3 ppl round me.
And dont tell me to turn all the effects off please its meant to look good innit?or whats the point??
oh and i still have to manually exec my autoexec despite many different trys.another q3 quirk that one!

I still am to see somthing better, I think teh reason why im not is because im still finding things that I dont like about it.

I like 1.30. As do my modem using clan-compadres. The maps and the new effects aren't nothing new but the network code seems a considerable step forward.

Throdgrain, I think everyone has had a drop in fps, which is disappointing.

As for your 150-250 ping:

Are you sure its not your isp? the server? the number of ppl on the server?

I haven't suffered from autoexec hassles either...

I gained FPS from 1.27 (i never used 1.29) and I think there is a definate improvement in the netcode. A good PR imho.

no m8.the same isp i get 40 ping on q2,or 70 on c.s. gets me 50 on q3 with 2 ppl alright, but get a busy server (like ctf) and hey presto 150 ping.
im prolly moaning a bit m8,i guess really i expected such good things from q3,and now here it is finished and no good things have ever really arrived.(for me!)

Dont moan about fps if your not prepared to drop the settings, i personaly find it difficult to play with full settings on, vertex and 16 bit rocks
