So because a news paper says christians give a man money, he turns evil in your eyes?

That's rather silly.

Id like to know why exactly them giving money is a bad thing?

In any case, this is another example of how the policies and such are ignored in voting these days, and the media basically should just pop their candidate on the throne.

lol I don't discuss who I would vote for because everyone always thinks their party is the only obvious choice and refuses to see how anyone could vote differently.

Ez has pretty much nailed it. Some of the party stuff is proper lols but politics, religion and sport discussions are just arenas for heated arguments most of the time.

spot on

that doesn't just apply to politics....most of the "serious" (lol) discussions on FHOT = drivel writen by people who think they're more intelligent that anyone else becuase they live in a foreign country or have smoked weed for 30 years or played more computers games (W2G ! 450th level ! Woot!) or listen to wierd music or wear douchbag wool hats even in the heat of the summer or still think Friends are funny 400 years after the rest of the world recognises how shit the entire show was etc

You should vote for someone

not voting is pretty much the worse thing you can do, voting wise

Catholics are not the christian right you muppet. :p These the article refers to are what is known as neo-cons, far right protestant groups who are just one step away from white supremecy.

...... the alpha course is just like christianity for beginers, it's not far right atall

dunno about the rest of the organisations

is it torys that are engouraging marrige and family roots in comunities?

if so thats probly why the church is backing them

edit: just skimmed article:
it is unashamedly conservative on social issues, especially the importance of the family. "If Christians want to support marriage, they can do so very practically in 2010, by voting Conservative," said Elizabeth Berridge, the CCF's executive director.

I agree in a way. The worst thing about the campaign at the moment is that parties aren't saying 'vote for us because our policies are sound' but 'vote for someone, but not x party because they won't win here and hung parliaments are a pain in the arse.'

I live in a conservative stronghold, there's not even a single labour member on the council ffs. The conservative rep is ex-labour. The Lib-Dem is the lead Ghurka campaigner so got press with Joanna Lumley etc. The Labour bloke knows he's fucked and is just smiling a lot.

Hence, there is only one solution:

Official Monster Raving Loony Party - Manifesto proposals

You know it makes sense. I can't stop laughing at some of this stuff.

And you didn't think to check the political affiliation of The Observer?
LibDem.

-English-, it was expenses, not expensives.

I'm making a point of not reading any of the Sunday papers today because they're all doing what they can to portray the parties they don't support in a bad light. I prefer positive discussion rather than running down the other guy.

you're better off voting for some random party, like the monster raving looney party than not voting, at least then the person who wins can see "oh wait a lot of people here dont agree with me, maybe i should take their views into consideration too" or well thats how its supposed to work (probably is more like "woohoo gravy train baby")
