when i play capture the flag in quake3 games, when i capture flag and take it back to my flag capture point all i get come up in middle of my screen to say that i have captured flag is a emty black and white box, where normally there is a "medal capture icon comes up, it is a shader missing because i drop console down and i have the following come up: WARNING: R_FindImageFile could not find `menu/medals/medal_capture.tga" in shader `medal_capture"
Shader medal_capture has a stage with no image.,

you may have to scroll up to see it useing your PageUp or PageDown keys., does any one else have this problem or if not what can i do to correct it, maybe there is a file i could just add from my mates q3 that is correct but i need to know what file to replace, i do not what to reinstall really, there must be a easier way. thanks for any help in advance that you may give .

Sorry but im new to Q3! BUT
has played q1 and q2 for many yrs now! and ive found that quake seemes to like messing up for no reson! so i recommend that u get all latest updates!!! CFT etc updates! try running teh game with teh sd in the drive!etc etc etc just to make sure every thing is workin if it still somes up.... BACKUP the mods downloads , maps etc to a new folder some where on ya drive and reinstall q3 with full install! get latest gl grives and dx drivers!.

MAINLY just reinstall the bugger lol
Has had many probs with q1 and 2 none on q3 yet but im waiting for 1 and i normally find that reinstalling it works! for some strange reason :_(

But i bet u have allready tryed all this so what i just wrote was a waste of time.. LOL

thanks 4 replying m8 all sorted now i had pak5 missing from base3 folder, must have deleted it by mistake when i was spring cleaning it, i mean getting rid of maps that were giveing me shader problems, silly me. anyway thanks again m8 and i might c u on a q3 server somewhen

I dont have a pak5 file either, and i aint been spring cleaning!

What the hells going on here then...?
