Installed DAoC and when im pressing the game icon the game doesnt load up, whats the problem with it really? :/

Which client are you using?ToA or Shrouded Isles?

If shrouded isles, go into update.dat file and put this in there:

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

If ToA, go to update.dat file and put this there:

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/atlantis/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/atlantis/mpatch.dat

Classic / SI / TOA
Are drivers all up to date
DX 9 uptodate
Firewall installed, if so what one
Anti Virus installed

Forgot to add, if you just installed DAOC on it's own without ToA/SI, it will not load up, you have to get the update.dat changed(like above but different) , requiel will know what it has to be changed to.

I had this same problem when trying to access the classic client nothing happened when i clicked the icon - i had to upgrade to the super classic client ( free download from GOA website - but is 700 mb)

As of version 1.70 the classic client is no longer supported. You will need the superclassic client which is available as a free download from the Goa Community site (linked below in my sig).
If you're having this problem with either the ToA, SI or Superclassic client then try this first:
Delete the shortcut on your desktop.
Go to your DAoC installation folder, and right click on the camelot.exe icon for whichever client you are using (the Superclassic one looks like a cup, the SI one is the dragon and the ToA icon is the blue triskele). Choose Send To and then Desktop (create shortcut).
Try launching the game from this new shortcut.

If that doesn't work, then open the file update.dat using any text editing program such as notepad or word.

Make sure it looks like this:
For SI -

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/isles/mpatch.dat

For ToA -

Mythic Patch
patch.camelot-europe.com:1280/updates/english/atlantis/mpatch.dat

For Super Classic -

It's very important that you don't have any spaces at the end of any of the lines.
