Technology is already available for people to play across different hardware formats so technically it's possible.

What's held back some of the "twitchy" games is that most people recognise the mouse/keyboard combo as the best for these types of games, meaning that the console owners don't have a great online experience.

Could SWG be played on a PS? Most of your character settings are held on the servers, so that shouldn't be a problem. But the game is being constantly updated and patches are downloaded to your PC, I suppose that you could download the content direct to the PS memory, but that would have to happen each time before you could join a server.

So maybe the game will come out, but there's problem if they want PC and PS players to be on the same servers. Would like to see it happening.

The game was meant to come out on PS2 but its all gone quiet. Cross platforms would be even better.

I've since heard that they are considering hte XBox. Which with its hard drive would be much better able to cope with ongoing content updates.
