If i want to play my characters on another computer, do I have to remap all controls or is it enough to move one or more files to the new computer like it's possible to do in CS and other games?

not total sure what you mean here

but will make a guess
you have a new computer and want to transfer all your existing setups accross.....

basically install DAOC and copy accross all the files from your old PC. (that should work)...

if you are trying to install it and run on two machines, let em know if you get it working....

Controls are stored locally on a computer so, yes you'll have to remap your controls.

Do a search in the DAOC folder for a username for one of your characters.

You will get 2 or 3 files that come up, one being *.ini, not sure what the other ones are (in work, so can't pull them up myself).

All you need to do is copy those files to the DAOC folder on the other PC, and then go into the game through the server select screen, then into your character. This should mean your menu's are the same.

The controls are a bit different. They are stored seperate and the one set of controls is used for the whole DAOC install.

I will see if I can find where they are kept when I get home for you.
