Player Names

I wonder if there is a way of moving the player name so that it's not over the head of the player model, but at the bottom of the screen or something ala Half Life.
I say this because atm I play with drawcrosshairnames 0, as it looks so crap and ugly, but if in a fireteam it would be nice to see where me mates are as it were .
Any ideas ?

Not sure about that one. But if you are in a fireteam select the player you want to know about, and then the fireteam badge will appear over their head so you can identify them.

Yeah Im reasonably conversant with q3 cvars, and I wasnt aware of anything like that.
Ill try the fire team thing though, I only hope it toggles off though Thanks m8

It does indeed toggle off. For complete ease press Numpad 0 to select the whole team
