I placed an order for a few DVD's and they were late and on my account it didnt say that they were posted or that they were awaiting stock of my Items.

So I emailed them asking why, within a couple of hours I had an email saying they were processed and they turned up today :)

I have spoke to a few people who said that play have a great customer service and I have to say I agree :)

Has anyone else had this? :)

Ordered Series 1 and 2 of the League of Gentleman on DVD a while ago.

About 10 days later they still hadn't turned up.

Fired off a mail just asking politely about them. Didn't receive a mail back from them, instead they sent 2 more copies no questions asked.

Very nice service, even better when I found out my daft housemate had put away the "delivery waiting for you" note from the PO FFS! So I ended up with 2 copies of each series - result ;)

Play customer service is very good, they were very helpful around Christmas last year when some of my packages never turned up cause of certain PO employees in my area 'Bristol' pinching my family's prezzies

I've used play for a long time, the only problem I have now is that the DVDs take longer to arrive, when it used to take between 24 and 48 hours :(

Still, can't really complain :D

Never had a problem but I agree they're slower than they used to be.

Only because they're better known now and busier than they used to be.

I found them to be quite rubbish service-wise (yes "we know you'd say that anyway etc etc" but it's true!). I ordered South Park Series 3, which was in stock at the time, and it took like, a month, to reach me. And then one of the volumes inside was missing, and they said I was lying, and it took another three weeks to sort the whole thing out. No pre-paid returns labels like you get from us either, I had to go to the post office, pay, like £7 to have it delivered back to them by recorded delivery, and then wait for them to have a look at it, and get another out to me, which again took ages.

Personally I don't think that's great service,

That is no excuse. The old Jungle "Sorry our delivery times are shit, but we're too popular you see, we can't manage any better!" thing.

Play, you're a business. Deal with your customer volumes or get out of the market.
