OK Yet another post by me as I try to sort my system


Finally managed to get my mobo to accept a new BIOS (it didnt like the latest one) -- It still says "no array found" but seems to boot...


Anyway to the point --- onr of the things the BIOS update was meant to correct was the reporting of the CPU temp -- MBM now reports it as about 50 degrees celsius (about twice what it said before! ) --- so the question --- what are the safe temperature parameters for a 1.8 GHz Intel Pentium 4 ??

So would a say 47-55 celsius operating range be normal or should I be looking into better cooling ?

it'll do but i'd be aiming for <45c personally

P4 1.9ghz
